Registered & Neurologic Music Therapist

Renée King (RMT, NMT) holds a Master of Creative Music Therapy and a Bachelor of Public Health. Acknowledged by the Australian Music Therapy Association, she intuitively meets clients where they are to foster self-expression and functional independence.

With extensive experience working with children, teens, young adults, elderly, and disability care, Renée combines health promotion with musical artistry to support physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.

Intuitive Music Therapy

Uses interactive musical play—including drumming, percussion, bells, voice, guitar, and keyboard—to reach non-musical goals. Focuses on social engagement, fine and gross motor function, communication, and emotional self-regulation.

Neurologic Music Therapy® (NMT®)

A standardized clinical system of 20 evidence-based techniques guided by the Transformational Design Model (TDM)™. Targets specific functional outcomes in cognition, sensorimotor control, and speech and language.

Using Your NDIS Plan for Music Therapy

Music Therapy is a recognized Allied Health service funded under the National Disability Insurance Scheme. If music therapy aligns with your goals and is included in your plan, you can access individual sessions with a Registered Music Therapist.

Self-Managed Participants

Invoices are sent directly to your nominated Plan Manager for prompt processing under Capacity Building support budgets. No upfront or out-of-pocket costs are required at your session.

You can pay for sessions at the time of service or via invoice, then submit your itemized payment receipt directly through the NDIS portal for reimbursement into your nominated account.
